About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Technology Business Systems Consultant to support the continued expansion and increased scope of the Enterprise Know Your Customer (EKYC) platform. As EKYC continues to integrate with additional systems and support new teams, this role will provide deep business systems analysis expertise to lead complex requirement discovery, technical analysis, and end-to-end solution design.
In addition, Wells Fargo is pursuing the transformation of EKYC into a truly intelligent, agentic KYC ecosystem. This consultant will play a key role in defining business requirements, use cases, decision frameworks, data strategies, and governance capabilities that enable AI-powered and agent-driven experiences across customer onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment, case management, and operational workflows.
This consultant will serve as a critical bridge between business, operations, data, AI engineering, and technology teams. The role requires translating highly complex business needs into clear functional, data, AI, and process requirements while ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, auditable, and aligned with enterprise AI governance standards. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, experience working across large enterprise platforms, and a deep understanding of how generative AI, machine learning, and agentic systems can be leveraged to create measurable business value.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives to provide technological solutions with broad impact for cross functional businesses and technology teams
- Evaluate highly complex business problems and provide subject matter knowledge proficiency for technology initiatives
- Define and lead detailed research on business and technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements
- Lead project or systems documentation, and monitor and manage project schedules and deliverables
- Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to provide domain solutions for complex business problems
- Ensure communication and information flow between business and technology teams
- Lead business analysis activities for AI, GenAI, and agentic solutions, including business capability assessments, use case identification, process redesign, and value realization planning
- Define functional and non-functional requirements for AI-powered applications, including prompt workflows, agent interactions, human-in-the-loop controls, explainability, observability, and performance measurements.
- Partner with AI engineers, architects, product owners, and data teams to document business processes and translate them into agentic workflows, decision trees, and automation opportunities.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, data requirements, and evaluation frameworks for LLM-driven and agent-based solutions.
- Evaluate AI solution effectiveness through business KPIs, quality metrics, model outputs, agent reliability, accuracy measurements, and user adoption.
- Support AI governance, risk, compliance, and responsible AI initiatives by ensuring business requirements align with enterprise policies and regulatory expectations.
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization using AI, intelligent automation, and agentic capabilities.
Serve as a strategic business analysis leader supporting the AI Solutions and Enterprise KYC modernization initiatives. Partner with business and technology leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver AI transformation opportunities. Drive definition and adoption of business analysis standards, AI requirements frameworks, and agentic solution delivery practices. Act as a trusted advisor on AI-enabled process transformation, operational efficiency, and intelligent workflow design. Collaborate across product, engineering, data, risk, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure successful AI solution delivery. Support proof-of-concepts, pilots, and production-scale AI implementations through requirements management, stakeholder engagement, and business readiness activities. Ensure all AI-enabled solutions meet enterprise governance, security, compliance, and regulatory expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis, Business Systems Design, Product Analysis, or related experience, or equivalent demonstrated
- Hands-on experience working on Generative AI, Agentic AI, Intelligent Automation, or AI-powered business transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of business analysis techniques including requirements elicitation, process modeling, user story development, use case analysis, and data mapping.
- Experience translating business requirements into AI solution specifications, agent workflows, prompt-driven experiences, and process automation capabilities.
- Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering concepts, orchestration frameworks, and agent architectures.
- Understanding of traditional AI/ML systems, model lifecycle concepts, training data considerations, evaluation metrics, and model governance.
- Experience working with APIs, system integrations, event-driven architectures, and enterprise data platforms.
- Experience documenting complex business processes using workflow diagrams, process models, decision trees, and functional specifications.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage business, operations, risk, and technology partners.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience delivering AI or GenAI solutions in financial services, KYC, AML, compliance, risk management, fraud detection, customer onboarding, or regulatory domains.
- Experience defining requirements for agentic systems, multi-agent workflows, digital assistants, copilots, or intelligent automation platforms.
- Experience performing business process reengineering and identifying opportunities for AI-led operational transformation.
- Knowledge of Responsible AI principles, model governance, explainability, bias mitigation, privacy, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience working within Agile product delivery teams and supporting AI product roadmaps.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile, Scrum, or related certifications preferred.
- Experience creating business cases and value realization frameworks for AI investments.
