Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the evolution and growth of GE Vernova Electrification Software’s quoting and commercial technology landscape, with responsibility for the end-to-end planning, design, development, implementation, and delivery of complex CPQ and commercial solutions that enable critical business processes and outcomes. The role will drive technical excellence, scalable solution design, engineering productivity, and continuous improvement while providing technical guidance and mentorship to the broader team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience implementing and developing CPQ solutions for B2B environments, with expertise across product catalogs, product configuration and bundles, licensing and subscription models, pricing and discounting, quoting, order and invoice management, and complex pricing structures including escalators, as well as experience integrating CPQ solutions with CRM, ERP, billing, and other enterprise platforms.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

• End-to-End CPQ Ownership: Lead the design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, and support of scalable CPQ solutions, ensuring alignment with business processes, Quote-to-Cash objectives, and enterprise architecture.
• Solution Design & CPQ Architecture: Translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions covering product configuration, pricing, discounting, quoting, approvals, amendments, renewals, and order management, while driving technical design and architecture decisions.
• CPQ Development & Enterprise Integration: Design, develop, and maintain CPQ configurations, customizations, business rules, workflows, and integrations with CRM, ERP, billing, product, and other enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity, security, performance, and maintainability across platforms.
• Requirements, Story Grooming & Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Sales Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to understand business needs, refine requirements, groom user stories, identify dependencies, and translate them into effective CPQ solutions.
• Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers through solution walkthroughs, code/configuration reviews, troubleshooting, pair programming, and knowledge sharing, while establishing development and configuration best practices.
• DevOps & Release Management: Drive CI/CD, source control, automated testing, deployment automation, environment management, and release governance for CPQ solutions, enabling reliable and faster deployments with minimal production defects.
• Complex Problem Solving & Optimization: Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex CPQ issues while continuously optimizing configuration, pricing logic, quote generation, integrations, performance, and user experience.
• Engineering Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Champion automation, security, scalability, maintainability, documentation, and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to simplify CPQ processes, modernize solutions, and improve overall Quote-to-Cash efficiency.
• Production Support & Operations: Provide timely production incident support, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and bug fixes to ensure application stability, reliability, and continuity of business operations.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• 7+ years of Development Experience on Oracle CPQ (Big Machines) Or Similar CPQ products

• 2+ years of experience working on HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, XSLT and JavaScript.
• 2+ years of experience with implementing subscription-based projects.

• CPQ Workbench expertise with subscription experience is a must.
• CPQ platform administration expertise is a must.

• CPQ Commerce and Bulks actions expertise is a must.
• Active Oracle CPQ certification is a must.
• Active Salesforce certification is a must.

• Experience Working on Doc Designer, Email Designer, Approvals modifications, Workflows with advanced BML/BMQL scripting.

 

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience in implementing BOM, ABO and REDWOOD UI with frontend development experience on Oracle CPQ.
• Self-driven and must be able to work independently.
• Strong desire for continuous learning to pick new tools/technologies.
