Position: Fleet Controller

Job Overview:

As a Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fleet of vehicles and drivers. You will work closely with our dispatch team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track all vehicles in the fleet using GPS technology
• Assign and schedule drivers for deliveries and pickups
• Communicate with drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Monitor driver performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed
• Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Handle any issues or delays that may arise during deliveries
• Work closely with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure accurate loading and unloading of goods
• Generate reports on fleet performance and make recommendations for improvements
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technologies to improve fleet operations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, some college education preferred
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry
• Strong knowledge of GPS tracking systems and route optimization software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards for commercial vehicles
