Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Controller to join our team in Pretoria, South Africa. As the Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles. You will work closely with our drivers, mechanics, and other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage the daily operations of our fleet, including vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and driver schedules
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods to clients
• Track and report on vehicle usage, maintenance, and expenses
• Maintain accurate records of all fleet-related activities
• Communicate with mechanics to schedule and oversee vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Monitor and analyze fleet performance to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
• Train and supervise new drivers on company policies and procedures
• Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during transportation operations
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management or a similar role
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet management software
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
