About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join an established aerospace engineering company based in Basildon.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Machinist or CNC Programmer with hands-on Fanuc programming experience to join a precision engineering environment, producing high-quality components to exact specifications.

The successful candidate will ideally have at least 2 years of CNC turning experience and be confident programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls.

 

What You'll Do

• Programme, set and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls.

• Manufacture precision-engineered components to technical drawings and specifications.

• Monitor machining processes to ensure accuracy and consistent quality.

• Carry out machine adjustments and tooling changes where required.

• Inspect finished components using appropriate measuring equipment.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

 

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years' experience in CNC turning or a similar machining role.

• Essential: Hands-on Fanuc programming experience.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Good understanding of machining processes, tooling and tolerances.

• Confident setting and operating CNC turning machinery.

• A reliable and quality-focused approach to work.

 

Who Might Suit This Role

This position would suit an experienced CNC Turner, CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist or CNC Setter Operator with a background in precision engineering.

Candidates from aerospace, automotive, defence, manufacturing or general engineering environments may also be well suited, provided they have practical CNC turning and Fanuc programming experience.
