You must be a current NNA Smyrna Nissan or Yates employee to be considered for this position.
We are currently looking for candidates for the Tool & Die Maintenance Advanced Work-Study Program to join our team in Smyrna, TN.
As a Nissan Tool & Die Maintenance Technician, you will have the responsibility for maintaining automotive sheet metal stamping dies, including all “A” class outer panels. Additional responsibilities include maintaining large cast iron dies by welding, machining, hand air grinding, and other shop processes.
A Day in the Life:
- Repair and maintain production tools and dies by utilizing machine tools, welding, and die grinders (Hand Grinding)
- Verify conformance of machined or repaired dies to specifications by checking dimensions, clearances, and alignments
- Modify dies to conform to engineering changes; conduct tryouts of new dies
- Troubleshoot problems during production; Work to blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions
Who We’re Looking for:
Required:
- Current Nissan employee in good standing; no current corrective action, written or above.
- Eligible to earn a mobile power equipment license to include a forklift and crane.
