Salary$174,907.00 - $279,843.00The Director of the Epic Program, under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, guides the Epic Program team through the ongoing support and new functionality implementation of the Epic system and related ancillary systems. The director is the central point of communication, maintaining a common vision, plan, and goal across all areas of the program. The director manages Epic Program departments in support of the Overlake organizational and Information Services division strategic plans and provides input in the development of the vision and leadership related to the organization’s EHR and supporting applications and infrastructure. The director will provide direct leadership for the organization in planning, supporting and implementing enterprise information systems to support both distributed and centralized clinical and business operations and achieve more effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide IS operations. The director is responsible for all Epic Program functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the scope, cost, schedule, and quality of the Epic program.
- Staff management and resource allocation to achieve strategic plan objectives.
- Being familiar with all aspects of the Epic program: Clinical Applications; Business Applications; User Training
- Coordinating the Epic super user program.
- Coordinating internal communications and change management as relates to the Epic program.
- Coordinating, recruiting and engaging Epic super users, physician builders and SMEs.
- Promoting the Epic system/program and representing it positively to the user community.
- Reviewing the progress of the program regularly with Overlake Executive leadership team.
- Reviewing the progress of the program regularly with Epic's TCs and BFFs.
- Coordinating the organization's overall needs and direction with Epic's TCs and BFFs to achieve results.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree in Health Administration or other relevant discipline preferred.
Professional Licensure/Certification/Registration: None required.
Experience: Minimum of five years recent experience in Electronic Health Record applications, technology, and services management required. Previous healthcare experience preferred.
Special Training/Skills: Project management skills required. Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to address executive management are essential.
