1. Maintain a harmonious and professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors and all departments.
2. Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
3. Conduct self in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Resorts.
4. Assist in other areas of the Finance office as needed.
5. Print, prepare and mail statements for outstanding C/L accounts at least twice per week.
6. Answer guest and credit card inquiries concerning accounts including the documentation and preparation of adjustments if necessary on a timely basis.
7. Prepare and maintain complete, accurate and organized records for all outstanding accounts as directed by the Credit Manager.
8. Ensure all Travel Agent payments are properly reviewed/verified, audited and all Travel Agents have valid IATA number (or equivalent) payment. and ensure that payments are not made for
POSITION: Finance Trainee
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Finance
SUMMARY: Assist the Staff Accountant in maintaining proper credit procedures throughout the resort. The Finance Generalist/ Accounts Receivable will be in charge of the credit department under the direction of the Staff Accountant.
EDUCATION: A university degree or equivalent experience required.
REQUIREMENTS: Solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams Require a working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and all corporate policies and procedures. Require excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports Require knowledge of and the ability to operate computer equipment, Microsoft Office Suite software, Opera and F&B POS systems.

9. Review group and catering contracts, establish understanding of billing arrangements and follow up on deposits and prepayments.
10. Assist the Income Auditor, if necessary, in reconciling the City Ledger totals.
11. Assist the Staff Accountant in the performance of his/her other duties as requested including the following:
- Obtaining credit references
- Collection of outstanding accounts
- Attending pre & post conference meetings with meeting planners.
12. Attend and record minutes at credit meetings.
13. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Finance, Assistant Director of Finance or Staff Accountant.
14. File documents and reports.
15. Collect payments to City Ledger Accounts daily.
16. Communicate promptly with the Staff Accountant on any discrepancies in billing payments and other potential problems.
17. Answer accounting general phone line.

· Ensure a safe workplace by identifying hazards and taking corrective action.
· Take an active role in implementing safety procedures and following up within the departments.
· Instruct employees on specific safe work practices (e.g. use of proper footwear, cleaning up after spills and emergency evacuation).
· Maintain compliance with government regulations to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment.
· Ensure that all of the resort’s Lead with Care Guidelines (Health and Safety) are followed at all times
