Loan Administrator

Position Reports to: Vice President, Loan Operations 

Overview: The Loan Administrator is responsible for a broad range of back-office loan operation functions, including the documentation, booking, and servicing of commercial and consumer loans. Candidates should possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and multitasking skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare commercial and consumer loan documents.
• Accurately board and maintain commercial and consumer loans within the core banking system.
• Monitor and ensure the proper perfection and maintenance of loan collateral.
• Perform a variety of loan servicing and account maintenance activities.
• Process loan payoff requests and execute payoff transactions in a timely manner.
• Enter, track, and manage loan-related ticklers and follow-up requirements.
• Review loan exception reports and resolve outstanding items as appropriate.
• Process, analyze and maintain loan escrow accounts.
• Process and maintain loan participation transactions.
• Complete monthly reconciliations for loans guaranteed by the Small Business Administration (SBA).
• Review loan files and records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
• Support departmental initiatives and participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:

• High School degree or GED required.
• Preferred 4-year college degree or (5+) years related banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Loan documentation, booking and/or servicing experience (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with Jack Henry banking applications (preferred)
• Experience with Laser Pro (preferred)

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. 

Work Environment:

The working environment is typical for an office and does not require exposure to difficult or hazardous conditions.
