Job Description
As a Sales Support Coordinator, you’ll provide administrative assistance to sales teams to help them work more productively and support customer satisfaction. You’ll complete sales-related administrative duties, respond to customer questions, provide order-status updates, coordinate with internal teams, and support customers throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
In this opportunity as a Sales Support Coordinator, you will:
- Maintain Customer and Prospect Data: Update prospect and client information in customer relationship management systems, including Salesforce and EMS, and maintain association and geographic reference lists.
- Support Account and License Administration: Facilitate license transfers, account mergers, archives, customer IDs, license assignments, and order credentialing.
- Coordinate Orders, Renewals, Trials, and Proposals: Enter orders into Salesforce and other systems, process renewals and trial requests, and create proposals containing product, financial, and terms information.
- Support Product Implementation: Assist with the implementation of new products and services.
- Provide Sales and Market Support: Obtain and provide prospect and client information related to market intelligence and penetration, and set appointments for sales teams.
- Respond to Customer Needs: Answer customer questions, provide order-status updates, handle escalated customer calls, and follow up with customers after sales.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Coordinate customer issues with Customer Service, Professional Services, Solution Consulting, Proposition, and Order teams.
- Serve as an Escalation Point: Act as a Digital Chat Assistant escalation point and liaise with Customer Service on complaints, technical support, and other customer-related issues.
- Prepare Reports and Track Results: Complete reporting and tracking of sales numbers and maintain databases covering sales, usage, and online versus print content.
- Deliver Quality and Timely Support: Contribute to goals related to resolution speed and quality, task and customer-interaction volume, and individual and team customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
You are an ideal fit for the Sales Support Coordinator role if your experience includes:
- Degree-level education or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
- General professional or specialized knowledge used to solve routine problems and make informed judgments.
- Ability to set priorities, plan your work, manage time effectively, and meet short-term deadlines.
- Ability to apply policies, standards, and procedures in straightforward situations.
- Ability to interpret data, refine work methods and techniques, and maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Clear communication skills, including asking questions and checking for understanding.
- Strong collaboration and customer service skills, with the ability to respond to routine internal and external customer requests.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and comfort dealing with challenges.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Demonstrated experience using artificial intelligence effectively, working with data-management technologies, and applying coding skills across innovative systems and platforms.
- Computer and software proficiency, including experience working with customer, sales, or order-management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of customer needs, requirements, and priorities.
- Familiarity with the roles of relevant functional groups in a sales support environment.
- Experience supporting sales administration, customer follow-up, reporting, or product and service implementation.
- Experience managing Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Ability to gain support from colleagues and recommend process changes that respond to customer needs.
