Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a State Site in Boston MA

Sunday, Thursday, Friday 11 PM - 7 AM AND Saturday 3 PM - 11 PM

Starting Pay is $23.00 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training 

As a Security Officer in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating clearly with the public and site personnel. You will use computer or tablet tools, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; communicate clearly and professionally regarding entry requirements and prohibited items.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry credentials, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and requesting additional assistance when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, public spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
