World Vision Solomon Islands (WV) is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Since 1981, we have been working to transform communities through program delivery in education, health care, water, sanitation & hygiene, agriculture and sustainable livelihoods. In line with the Solomon Islands Government’s National Sustainable Development Plan (2016-2030), World Vision – in partnership with communities - deliver programs that are relevant, cost-efficient, effective and make a lasting difference. Community development is a key focus of World Vision Solomon Islands, with 80% of our staff based in the communities where we work.
The purpose of this position is to manage ICT services supporting over 80 staff to access World Vision systems and networks by:
- Managing the ICT systems administration
- Providing ICT service support/help desk
- Coordinating procurement of ICT resources efficiently and economically
- Managing ICT assets
- Ensure that World Vision International ICT Policies are followed throughout World Vision Solomon Islands

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATION
- At least 5 years’ experience working in Information Technology managing the full spectrum of ICT services
- Proven ability to train non-technical users in the use of technical ICT systems in a cross-cultural setting.
- Ability to lead staff in remote locations, to organize, prioritize and delegate tasks while transferring knowledge and expertise.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively with a diverse team of ICT professionals outside of Solomon Islands office
- Vocational Training diploma in Computer Technology, Computer Science or equivalent technical training or work experience.
- High level knowledge of VSAT Internet technology including installation and configuration of computer hardware and software applications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, Computer Science or equivalent technical training or work experience
- Ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks concurrently.
