The Warehouse Lead is a primary point of contact for warehouse associates and field technicians, resolving material needs, prioritizing urgent requests, and minimizing operational delays. The warehouse handles refrigerants, water softeners, chemicals, HVAC equipment, plumbing supplies, electrical materials, and related inventory.

  • Robust PTO Plan
  • Health, Vision and Dental plans for you and your family to choose from
  • 401K Retirement Plan with company match up
  • Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability
  • Special Program Options: FSA, EAP, Legal Services, and Identity Theft
  • Continuous Training for your Professional Development
  • Working in a dynamic, collaborative, and fun environment
  • Coached and supported career growth

Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

  • Warehouse Operations & Material Handling

    • Coordinate and actively participate in receiving, stocking, picking, staging, shipping, and material distribution.
    • Inspect and document incoming materials; ensure accurate receipt, storage, and designated locations.
    • Verify materials are correctly picked, staged, and ready for technician pickup, delivery, or transfer.
    • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment throughout the workday.
    • Maintain clear aisles, organized storage, identifiable inventory, and efficient workflows.
    • Identify bottlenecks and support daily opening, closing, and operational readiness procedures.

    Inventory Control & Accuracy

    • Perform and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts, including cycle counts.
    • Ensure inventory movements and transactions are accurately and promptly recorded in company systems.
    • Investigate discrepancies, support reconciliation, and help implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain labeling, storage, rotation, and accountability for products and equipment.
    • Communicate shortages, damaged materials, and inventory concerns to management.
    • Provide enhanced accountability for refrigerants, chemicals, water softeners, and high-value items.

    Working Leadership & Accountability

    • Provide daily work direction, task prioritization, and hands-on support to warehouse associates.
    • Coach and train associates on daily warehouse workflows, inventory processes, and equipment use.
    • Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to established processes.
    • Lead by example in professionalism, teamwork, reliability, and personal ownership.
    • Escalate performance, attendance, and safety concerns to management; formal discipline, evaluations, and staffing decisions remain management responsibilities.

    Technician Support & Cross-Functional Communication

    • Serve field technicians as internal customers with responsive, accurate material and order support.
    • Provide clear updates on availability, order status, shortages, substitutions, and material readiness.
    • Prioritize urgent requests without compromising inventory accuracy or safe practices.
    • Coordinate with Purchasing, Dispatch, Operations, and other teams to resolve material issues.
    • Proactively reduce technician wait time and material-related disruptions.

Qualifications

Do I have What it Takes?

    • At least 2 years of warehouse, distribution, or inventory experience in a high-volume environment; previous lead experience preferred.
    • Forklift certification or ability to complete company-required training and authorization.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data entry, sorting, filtering, and basic inventory tracking).
    • Experience with warehouse management, inventory, or ERP software preferred.
    • Strong communication, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and team-training skills.
    • Dependability, attention to detail, and commitment to accurate transactions and established procedures.
    • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigerant, or chemical inventory preferred.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Frequently operate forklifts and warehouse equipment; repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds, using assistance or equipment for heavier items.
    • Stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, and handle materials repetitively.
    • Access designated storage areas and use approved ladders when required.
    • Work indoors and outdoors in Arizona conditions, including extreme heat and direct sunlight.
    • Work around refrigerants, chemicals, vehicles, and warehouse equipment while using appropriate protective gear.
    • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

Fast-paced, high-volume warehouse supporting Parker & Sons’ HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical field operations. Work includes indoor and outdoor storage areas, frequent forklift activity, technician interactions, and handling of heavy materials, refrigerants, chemicals, and equipment. The role balances physical warehouse work with team coordination and inventory accountability.

    ROLE AUTHORITY & EXPECTATIONS

This is a working lead position, not a supervisory or management role. The Warehouse Lead coordinates daily activities, trains and assists employees, and communicates issues to management, while continuing to perform frontline warehouse work. Formal disciplinary action, performance evaluations, staffing decisions, and policy exceptions remain with designated management.
