Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing business in the Bridlington area.
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000, negotiable DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm, with some flexibility
Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays
Working as part of a small, close-knit engineering team, you'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, reducing downtime and helping to develop a more proactive, preventative approach to maintenance.
The role:
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across production and packaging machinery
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and respond effectively to breakdowns
- Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, sensors, drives and inverters
- Work across mixing, cooking, forming, cooling, conveying and high-speed packaging equipment
- Fault find pneumatic systems, single and three-phase electrics and automated machinery
- Support PLC fault finding and diagnostics
- Assist with machinery installations, modifications and engineering improvements
- Carry out root cause analysis and identify opportunities to improve reliability and line performance
- Work closely with production while maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety standards
About you:
- Previous maintenance engineering experience within food, FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ideally mechanically biased with good supporting electrical skills
- Confident fault finding across production and packaging machinery
- Ideally Level 3 Engineering qualified or equivalent
- Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership
- Happy working within a small engineering team where everyone gets involved
