Employee Benefits Sales Leader
Job Summary
Seeking a dynamic and experienced Employee Benefits (EB) Sales Leader to join a team . This leadership role is pivotal in driving the success of Employee Benefits division, overseeing a team of producers and service staff while fostering growth and excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in building and managing a successful book of business, with a strong emphasis on self-funded accounts. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to step into a leadership role with significant impact and visibility.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $300,000 - $400,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Bonus Structure: Performance-based bonuses available
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of approximately 30-35 professionals, including 25 service staff and 8 producers
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and strategic guidance to the sales team to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Oversee a portfolio of accounts ranging from 200 to 1,000 average lives, with a focus on self-funded accounts
- Collaborate with local leadership and other stakeholders to align sales strategies with organizational goals
- Drive the development of new business opportunities while ensuring the retention and satisfaction of existing clients
- Participate in a multi-stage interview process to identify and onboard top talent for the team
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and competitiveness
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven track record as a producer, having built a book of business generating over $1 million in revenue within the Employee Benefits space
- Extensive experience with self-funded accounts is essential
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, team members, and leadership
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Licensure and designations relevant to the Employee Benefits industry are preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Employee Benefits sales or a related field
