About the Role 

GEICO Commercial is seeking a Senior Business Strategy Analyst to help shape the future of our growing commercial insurance business. This is a highly visible opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who is passionate about driving strategy, influencing key business decisions, and delivering measurable results. 

In this role, you will go beyond traditional business analysis by identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic recommendations, and collaborating across the organization to bring ideas to life. You will work closely with leaders across distribution, product, technology, operations, finance, and analytics to improve how commercial insurance products are distributed and serviced.

Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct market, competitive, customer, and operational research to identify trends and business opportunities. 
• Translate research findings into actionable recommendations that support strategic decision-making. 
• Assess the effectiveness and financial impact of distribution strategies, identifying opportunities to improve:  Growth Profitability Customer experience Operational efficiency 
• Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives from concept through implementation. 
• Partner with teams across distribution, product, technology, operations, finance, and analytics to drive business outcomes. 
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, business risks, and growth opportunities. 
• Serve as a business owner for key distribution platforms and enhancement backlogs by:  Defining business requirements Prioritizing initiatives Partnering with technical teams on implementation 
• Develop executive-level presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership. 
• Communicate insights, tradeoffs, and proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

 

Basic Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Insurance, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. 
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex business, financial, and technical concepts. 
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to move initiatives from strategy through execution. 
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities using data, metrics, and business insights to support decision-making. 
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver projects or programs from concept through implementation. 
• Ability to develop executive-ready materials, including:  Business cases Strategy recommendations Executive presentations Leadership communications 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

• 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:  Property & Casualty Insurance Commercial Insurance Insurance Distribution Product Management Business Strategy Management Consulting 
• Experience evaluating:  Distribution performance Operating models Customer experience strategies Digital platforms Growth initiatives within the insurance industry 
• Experience supporting financial performance, profitability initiatives, P&L management, or business case development. 
• Understanding of:  Auto Insurance Commercial Auto Insurance Small Business Insurance Underwriting Agency Distribution Models Related Insurance Operations

Annual Salary

$77,900.00 - $129,150.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
