Founded in 2025, Omnisent is a Munich-based defense technology company developing fully autonomous, Counter-UAS system. We are a small, high-output team from Cambridge, Imperial College, MIT, and BCG united by a mission to redefine modern airspace security.
## Aufgaben
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop the mechanical systems behind OmniDome's sensors, interceptors, and enclosures – from concept through field-ready hardware.
- Design mechanical structures and enclosures for sensors, interceptors, and other hardware components
- Develop and iterate on CAD models and technical drawings for new and existing hardware
- Select materials and manufacturing processes suited for field-deployed, weather-resistant hardware
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA), working closely with production and procurement
- Support prototyping, testing, and iteration based on flight test and field deployment feedback
- Collaborate closely with electronics, RF, and flight test engineers to integrate mechanical designs into full systems
## Qualifikation
- Strong background in mechanical design and CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape)
- Experience designing for manufacturability and for rugged, field-deployable hardware
- Understanding of materials selection for outdoor and weatherproof applications
- Comfortable working across the full hardware lifecycle, from concept to production
- EU work authorization
**Bonus:**
- Experience with drone, robotics, or aerospace mechanical design
- Experience with environmental hardening (IP-rating, MIL-STD-810, etc.)
- Background in defense or other high-reliability hardware industries
