The Senior Manager, Strategy and Transformation will support the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer (“CSTO”) and Director, Strategy and Transformation in executing Prudential Wealth’s strategic and transformation agenda across the Group.
The role will coordinate strategic initiatives, monitor business and transformation performance, and provide the analysis and management information required to support executive decision-making. Working across Wealth functions, Group stakeholders and Local Business Units (“LBUs”), the Senior Manager will help translate strategic priorities into detailed plans, track delivery and benefits, and escalate risks or decisions requiring management attention.
The role provides broad exposure to the Wealth business, including High Net Worth (“HNW”), Bermuda-based operating models, international distribution, product development, capital considerations, and transformation delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Analysis
- Support development and execution of Wealth strategy, businessplanning, budgeting, ACR managementand transformation roadmaps.
- Conduct market, competitor, customer and industry research to inform strategic priorities.
- Analyse business performance and develop insights and recommendations for management.
- Support evaluation of growth opportunities across products,
markets, channels, and customer segments. - Prepare strategic papers, presentations, and analysis for executive meetings and workshops.
Strategy Execution
- Translate strategic priorities into detailed initiative plans, milestones, deliverables, and accountabilities.
- Coordinate delivery across functional teams such as Customer & Marketing, Finance and Actuarial, Risk and Compliance, Legal, LBUs and Group stakeholders.
- Track progress, dependencies, risks and issues, and support timely resolution or escalation.
- Support project mobilisation and implementation of new strategic initiatives while documenting progress and key decisions.
Portfolio and Performance Management
- Maintain the consolidated portfolio view of Wealth’s strategic and transformation initiatives.
- Develop performance measures, dashboards and management reports covering delivery status, performance, and value realisation.
- Track financial and non-financial benefits against approved business cases, analyse variances, and identify areas requiring management intervention.
- Support regular portfolio reviews and executive governance meetings.
HNW and Bermuda Strategy
- Support the development and implementation of strategies for HNW and UHNW customers, products, and distribution models.
- Conduct analysis on Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance structures to inform strategic recommendations and business decisions.
- Coordinate with Finance, Actuarial, Investments, Risk and Reinsurance teams to gather inputs and support analysis of capital, liquidity and risk transfer considerations.
- Coordinate and track execution of the Group Wealth strategy across Hong Kong, Singapore and participating LBUs, monitoring progress, risks and key deliverables.
Data, Insights and Decision Support
- Collect and analyse information from Finance, Product,
Distribution, Operations, and other functions. - Develop data-driven insights to support planning, prioritisation and business decisions.
- Support scenario analysis, financial assessment, and quantification of initiative benefits.
- Improve the quality and efficiency of reporting through appropriate analytics and automation.
Transformation Governance
- Support governance processes for strategic and transformation initiatives.
- Ensure initiative owners comply with agreed planning, reporting and approval requirements.
- Coordinate governance materials, meeting agendas, decisions and follow-up actions.
- Monitor changes to scope, budget, timelines, and benefits.
- Promote consistent project and portfolio management practices across Wealth.
- Support the development of Strategy and Transformation methodologies, templates, and playbooks.
Stakeholder Coordination and Communications
- Work across Wealth, Group functions, and LBUs to gather inputs and drive alignment.
- Support preparation of updates for Group, Executive Committee, Board updates and papers, and other governance forums.
- Coordinate workshops and working sessions to resolve issues and progress initiatives.
- Support staff communications relating to strategy and transformation.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders at different organisational levels.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science
or a related discipline. - 7–10 years of experience in strategy, transformation, project management, consulting, finance, or business performance.
- Experience within insurance, reinsurance, wealth management or financial services preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting cross-functional strategic or transformation initiatives.
- Experience developing management reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
- Experience in business-case development, benefits tracking, or portfolio management.
- Ability to structure complex problems and convert analysis into clear recommendations.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience and Technical Capabilities
- Experience in HNW, offshore insurance, international distribution or related Wealth businesses.
- Understanding of life insurance products, financial performance, and operating models.
- Familiarity with Bermuda insurance or reinsurance structures.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, actuarial qualification, PMP, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
