This contract represents one of our most significant projects in the city and will create a wide range of opportunities across our operational teams.

About the Role

We are looking for skilled Electricians to join our team in Birmingham, with a primary focus on EICR testing, inspecting, and ensuring electrical compliance across occupied domestic properties.

You’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality electrical testing as part of our planned programme, carrying out EICRs, fault finding, and safety inspections to ensure homes remain compliant, safe, and well‑maintained. Working within social housing, you’ll complete detailed reports, identify remedial actions, and uphold strict standards of safety, accuracy, and professionalism while working directly in residents’ homes.

With a strong pipeline of compliance testing and inspection work, this is an excellent opportunity to join a team committed to delivering safe, reliable services to our residents and communities.

  • Perform testing procedures: Complete full testing sequences including continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, RCD testing, and earth fault loop impedance

  • Carry out fault finding: Investigate and resolve electrical faults discovered during inspections or reported by tenants, ensuring safe reinstatement of circuits

  • Complete minor remedial repairs: Replace or repair accessories such as sockets, switches, smoke alarms, and light fittings where required to close out EICR actions

  • Support compliance programmes: Deliver testing and inspection work as part of a structured compliance programme, ensuring properties meet regulatory and contractual standards

  • Certify installations: Produce accurate certification and documentation using digital job management systems, ensuring all results and observations are recorded clearly

  • Ensure safe working: Follow all safety procedures, safe isolation practices, and regulatory requirements throughout testing and inspection activities

  • Communicate with tenants: Provide clear, professional communication to residents, explaining testing processes and keeping them informed throughout the visit

  • Leave properties safe: Ensure all work areas are left clean, safe, and compliant, reinstating power safely and informing tenants of any follow‑up actions

  • Deliver excellent service: Represent the company professionally, maintaining high standards of customer care while working in occupied homes.
