Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer Full-Time in Tucson, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support a professional environment for visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government office location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, assisting with visitor management and maintaining awareness of activity at the location.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
