Advanced Practice Provider Neonatology

About this role:

As a Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider with Intermountain Health, you will be an integral part of our Southwest Utah Neonatology Team, which includes 3 Neonatologists and 8 Neonatal APPs. We provide care at St George Regional Hospital's level III 24 bed NICU, with a growing presence at Cedar City Hospital's special care nursery.

• In this role, you will provide care at both St George Regional and Cedar City Hospital, with an overall goal of keeping babies and mothers together in hospital whenever medically appropriate, reducing their life flight and transfer costs.
• You will attend deliveries, allowing for immediate resuscitation assistance.
• While you will see a wide variety of acuity and complexity in cases, your care will have a particularly significant impact on allowing babies to stay in Cedar City when they fail a CPAP trial and are 34 weeks gestation or greater.
• Supported by qualified staff including RNs, Respiratory Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, CNAs, among others. You'll have opportunity to provide education to these team members, and build collegial, trusting relationships with local pediatricians.
• Our APPs report directly to an AP Team Lead, who is also a practicing Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
• Full time, when working in Cedar City your schedule will include 12-hour day shifts.
  In St George, shifts are taken in 24-hour increments as we are a 24/7 service in hospital.

You'll receive guaranteed base salary commensurate with your APP experience. You'll also be eligible for up to $7,500 in relocation assistance and up to $12,000 in student loan assistance when applicable.

What you’ll bring:

• Board certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner OR if a Physician Assistant, Board Certification and completion of a 1 year Neonatal Fellowship.
• Active, unobstructed Utah APRN or PA and Controlled Substance license, or the ability to obtain prior to starting employment
• Federal DEA Certificate II – V
• BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
• Candidates requiring Visa sponsorship will be reviewed on an individual basis

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$63.07 - $97.30
