Compensation for this role is $55,000-$58,000 annually The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.
A Senior IMDL Specialist is someone who has shown initiative, leadership, and a higher understanding of the business unit. They are responsible for supporting all standard operational duties while also providing support to their manager, focusing on higher level tasks. Additional responsibilities will primarily include developing and maintaining carrier relationships to ensure coverage for existing freight with the ability to grow and scale with future awards. A Senior IMDL Specialist will also be a focal point of ongoing rep development by providing guidance and training to new reps on the floor. All duties of an IMDL specialist will remain in addition to these responsibilities.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Understand growth strategy, goals, commitments, policies, and pain points of assigned regions
Support new drayage capacity and relationship development, including rate negotiations and volume commitments in conjunction with Regional Manager
Facilitate ongoing rep development through training and guidance on the floor
Maintain relationships with drayage contacts and customer service reps at railroads.
Responsible for daily load board management to ensure that loads are serviced properly and on time
Proactively identify potential issues and create appropriate solutions; escalate as needed.
Manage accessorials objectively while maximizing profit.
Ensure receipts, invoices, and PODs are received from carriers in a timely manner
Build reputable relationships with internal contacts (Ops, Sales and Pricing).
Prioritize and respond to both internal and external requests in a timely, effective, and professional manner
