Description
The Senior Logistics Specialist will mentor and train logistics specialists in their daily tasks, also provide support to the Logistics Supervisor our site warehouses. The Senior Logistics Specialist will be required to liaise with a range of stakeholders, including US Government employees, OASIS employees, vendors and contractors on daily basis through the course of their duties.
Key responsibilities include supporting the receiving and issuing goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting procurement and disposal activities, and assisting with warehouse organization and logistics planning. The Senior Logistics Specialist collaborates with the Area Supervisor to guide internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers to support the smooth delivery of logistics operations.
Working in a dynamic and at times physically demanding environment, the Senior Logistics Specialist must adapt to varying priorities, environmental conditions (such as heat, cold, and dust), and stakeholder expectations. The role contributes to the overall reliability and responsiveness of the logistics function, upholding safety, integrity, and professional service delivery in line with organizational values and mission objectives.
Essential Functions:
The Logistics Specialist is expected to carry out the following duties in accordance with established procedures, safety standards, and operational requirements:
- Coordinate complex inbound and outbound consignments, ensuring compliance with documentation, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Lead small scale stock analysis programs, supporting reorder level determinations and forecasting demand trends
- Prepare and validate documentation for specialized shipments, including hazardous materials and international consignments
- Support the Supervisor in maintaining compliance with hazardous material handling protocols, providing incident reports and corrective action suggestions
- Perform advanced inventory transactions in SAP/CMMS, including reconciliation of complex discrepancies
- Prepare documentation for consignment and receipt of goods via Air Mobility Command (AMC) flights
- Provide professional assistance at the customer supply counter, handling escalated inquiries and complex requests
- Guide Logistics Specialists in performing tasks correctly and safely, offering informal training and coaching
- Report observed discrepancies in stock levels, transactions and serial numbers to supervisor
- Ensure hazardous materials are handled and stored correctly, escalating concerns to the Supervisor
- Oversee packaging, palletizing, and consignment of sensitive or high value inventory, selecting appropriate transport modes (road, air, sea)
- Ensure that all personnel correctly handle and store hazardous materials and provide timely notification of any observed incidents relating to hazardous materials
- Support the Supervisor to foster a strong culture around safety including the reporting of hazards and incidents, pe-starts and safe operating procedures are followed
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required, supporting both operational and supervisory functions
Qualifications:
Minimum Essential:
- 5 years' experience in logistics, warehousing, or a related field
- Proficiency in relevant computer software and applications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a dedicated team
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound administrative and record-keeping skills
- Valid driver’s License
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in operational tasks
Desirable:
- Vocational training or qualifications in logistics or supply chain management
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or equivalent tools
- Current HR driver’s License
- Forklift License and materials handling experience
- First Aid and CPR certifications
- White Card certification (construction site safety)
- Inventory analysis experience, including demand planning and stock level reviews

- Ability to independently lift and handle items weighing up to 25 kilograms as part of regular duties.
- Physical stamina and endurance to perform tasks that involve prolonged standing, walking, bending, or repetitive motions.
- Capability to operate material handling equipment and safely maneuver heavy loads as needed.
- Tolerance to work in outdoor and remote environments under varying weather conditions.
STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS
- At least 18 years of age.

Security Clearance Requirements
It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will be required to obtain and maintain a NV-1/SECRET Department of Defense Security Clearance (Australian) or Secret (U.S.) clearance and may be required to obtain a Top Secret (TSPV) Department of Defence (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S) clearance.
EHS Requirement
