## What you’ll do:
This position will be based in Eaton’s Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (GSC CoE) in Pune.
The Manager, Supply Chain Risk & Compliance will lead a team responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks across Eaton's global supply base. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and operational execution capabilities to strengthen supply chain resilience and ensure business continuity. The individual will collaborate closely with Sourcing, Category Management, Operations, Compliance, and Executive Leadership teams to proactively manage supplier risks, drive crisis response activities, and implement long-term risk management strategies.
1\. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence. Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, performance management, and mentoring to ensure the team effectively delivers strategic Tooling and Global Trade objectives.
2\. Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Supplier Tooling and Global Trade functions, aligning team priorities, resources, and execution plans with broader Supply Chain, Procurement, Compliance, and business objectives.
3\. Own the global Supplier Tooling Management strategy, ensuring effective governance and lifecycle management of company-owned tooling assets across all regions to support business continuity, capacity expansion, and long-term sourcing strategies.
4\. Lead strategic tooling investment, replacement, and refurbishment initiatives, partnering with Category Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance leaders to optimize capital investments, improve tooling performance, and support growth and productivity objectives.
5\. Drive enterprise-wide tooling visibility and governance, establishing robust processes for tooling utilization, asset tracking, ownership compliance, capacity planning, supplier readiness, and risk management to safeguard company assets and ensure uninterrupted production support.
6\. Lead the Global Trade Management function, ensuring compliance with international import/export regulations, Restricted Party Screening (RPS), Harmonized System (HS) classification requirements, product compliance obligations, and other applicable trade regulations across global operations.
7\. Establish and strengthen global trade governance frameworks, including policies, standards, risk assessments, transactional audits, compliance monitoring programs, and corrective action processes to mitigate regulatory risk and enhance compliance maturity.
8\. Partner with Legal, Compliance, Logistics, Procurement, and business leaders to deploy global trade strategies, drive standardization, influence policy development, and ensure consistent execution of trade compliance requirements across all regions and business units.
9\. Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across Tooling and Global Trade functions by leveraging Lean principles, standardization, performance management, and best practices to improve efficiency, service delivery, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
10\. Identify opportunities to solve complex business challenges through digitalization and automation, leading the development and deployment of innovative technologies, advanced analytics, and scalable digital solutions that enhance visibility, streamline processes, improve decision-making, and deliver measurable business value.
## Qualifications:
Bachelors of Engineering from an accredited institution & MBA in Operations Research
12-15+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Global Trade Compliance, Tooling Management, or related functions within a global manufacturing environment.
## Skills:
1\. Strong knowledge of Supplier Tooling Management, including tooling lifecycle management, capital investment planning, tooling governance, asset ownership controls, refurbishment, deployment, and supplier tooling compliance.
2\. Deep understanding of Global Trade Management (GTM) processes, including Import/Export Compliance, Restricted Party Screening (RPS), Harmonized System (HS) Classification, Country of Origin (COO), and Export Controls.
3\. Proven experience leading global teams and managing cross-functional initiatives across Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Compliance, and Finance organizations.
4\. Demonstrated experience in developing governance frameworks, policies, controls, KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting."
5\. Experience managing enterprise applications, digital platforms, or third-party technology solutions supporting Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, or Procurement functions.
6\. Experience conducting compliance assessments, audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
7\. Experience leading global process standardization, shared services, or center-of-excellence (COE) functions.
8\. Project and program management experience, including large-scale transformation initiatives.
9\. Strong understanding of Lean, Continuous Improvement (CI), and process optimization methodologies."
10\. PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, APICS/ASCM, CIPS, or equivalent professional certifications.
11\. Exposure to customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements (FTA), Duty Optimization Programs, and Trade Management Systems.
12\. Experience managing supplier tooling in highly regulated or complex manufacturing environments.
13\. Knowledge of emerging supply chain technologies, Industry 4.0 concepts, and digital supply network solutions."
