Business Analyst

Overview

Our client is seeking a IT Business Analyst to join the team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between IT and business stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and value creation. As an IT Business Analyst, you will work collaboratively across teams to identify business needs, manage change, and deliver efficient solutions that align with organizational goals. 

Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements effectively.
• Business Needs Analysis: Understand, evaluate, and translate business challenges into IT requirements, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Documentation: Create clear and detailed functional and technical documentation, user stories, and workflows.
• Workshop Facilitation: Conduct workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather and refine requirements, facilitate brainstorming, and build consensus.
• Change Management: Work closely with stakeholders to manage, document, and communicate the impact of changes on processes, systems, and teams.
• Testing: Support functional and user acceptance testing to ensure delivered solutions meet business needs.
• Agile Practices: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments, maintaining and updating artifacts in tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Vendor Management: Work with third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery of services or tools that meet business expectations.
• SQL Expertise: Utilize SQL for data analysis, validation, and reporting tasks that inform technical decisions and business strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT or related.
• 1-3 years of working experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a related role within an Agile environment.
• Proficiency in requirement gathering, business analysis, and documentation processes.
• Hands-on experience in writing SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex processes into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional, diverse teams.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English.
