Description
This role is responsible for the end-to-end marketing operations engine that underpins Cornwall Insight’s lead nurturing and demand generation activity. Working at the intersection of marketing, sales and technology, the Marketing Operations Manager owns the design, build and continuous improvement of automated nurture programmes, lead scoring models and the wider marketing technology stack – ensuring Salesforce, Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) and connected tools operate as a single, reliable source of truth. The role partners closely with the GTM sales team, Salesforce coordinator, agencies and the wider marketing team to ensure Sales Ready Leads are identified, routed and converted efficiently, and that marketing and sales remain closely aligned around a shared view of the customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce (Sales Cloud), including objects, reports, dashboards and the Salesforce-Pardot connector.
Proven experience designing and running lead scoring and grading programmes that produce reliable Sales Ready Leads.
Experience working in a B2B environment, ideally within data, information services, or publishing organisations.
Track record of partnering closely with sales teams to align on lead definitions, hand-off processes and funnel reporting.
Strong data analysis skills, comfortable interrogating and troubleshooting data flows between marketing and sales systems.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to work confidently with sales leaders, the Salesforce Manager and marketing colleagues.
Knowledge of email marketing compliance requirements (UK GDPR, PECR) as they apply to B2B marketing automation.
Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple automation and integration projects concurrently.
Excellent written communication skills, able to translate technical marketing operations concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Significant experience in a marketing operations, marketing automation or CRM-focused marketing role.
Demonstrable, hands-on experience with Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) is essential.
Experience working with Salesforce CRM, ideally including exposure to the underlying data model and system integrations.
Experience within a B2B organisation, ideally in data, analytics or publishing sectors.
Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) Specialist or Consultant certification desirable.
Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
