Job Description

As a Security Guard Government in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an innovative, fast-paced location. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, observe and report activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a positive environment while working with an agile, reliable team that puts people first, embraces innovation, and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
