Java Developer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Java Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems and microservices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, architects, and DevOps teams, to deliver resilient software solutions that meet business objectives and enterprise standards.

## 2\. Key Responsibilities

## Architecture & Development

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java server-side applications and microservices using Spring Boot / Spring Framework.
• Implement RESTful APIs, integration endpoints, and event-driven architectures.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.

## Database & Integration

• Design and optimize relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) database schemas, queries, and transactions.
• Integrate enterprise messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ).

## Quality Assurance & Testing

• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests using frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
• Participate in peer code reviews, adhering to coding standards, secure coding principles, and design patterns.

## DevOps & Deployment

• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them via Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Maintain and enhance continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Monitor application health, logs, and metrics using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, OpenTelemetry).

## 3\. Required Qualifications & Skills

## Technical Skills

• Core Java: Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 11, 17, or 21), including OOP concepts, concurrency/multithreading, collections framework, and functional programming (Streams, Lambdas).
• Frameworks: Extensive experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security).
• APIs & Web Services: Solid experience in designing and building RESTful APIs; familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Databases & ORM: Proficiency with SQL, relational database management systems (RDBMS), and ORM tools (Hibernate / JPA).
• Build & Version Control: Hands-on experience with Git and build automation tools (Maven, Gradle).
• Testing: Practical experience with automated testing tools (JUnit 5, Mockito).

## Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of professional software development experience in Java backend environments.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and microservices architecture.

## 4\. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with Event Streaming and Distributed Systems (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with Containerization and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and in-memory caching solutions (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton, GitLab CI).
• Understanding of application security standards (OWASP Top 10, OAuth2, JWT, mTLS).
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
