About the Role
In this role, you will balance people leadership with technical expertise, guiding a team of specialists while directly tackling our most complex deviations and non-conformities. Alongside leading the team, you’re expected to conduct some investigations yourself as needed.
You will be a key bridge between production, quality, and external stakeholders, you will ensure that root cause analyses are thorough, corrective actions (CAPAs) are effective, and compliance standards are flawlessly maintained. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role that requires a resilient leader who thrives under tight deadlines and is comfortable managing customer-facing communications.

Key responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of investigators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality accountability.
  • Problem Solving: Enable the team to lead high-severity, complex, and critical deviations to root cause using systematic problem solving and develop their capability to handle complex cases.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Production, Engineering, and Science teams to investigate root causes and support implementation of robust CAPAs.
  • Customer & Auditor Relations: In case of escalation, be the primary contact for deviation-related customer queries and build investigators’ readiness to present to customers and provide clear presentations during audits and inspections when needed.

Qualifications & Experience
Professionally

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or related scientific discipline.
  • Pharma Industry Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience working within a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Deviation Mastery: Proven, hands-on experience tracking, investigating, and closing complex manufacturing deviations and non-conformances.
  • Proven Leadership: At least 3 years of experience in a management, supervisory, or team lead role, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the professional presence required to manage sensitive discussions with external customers and auditors.

Personally

  • Thrive Under Pressure: You are resilient and excel in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment where priorities can shift rapidly.
  • Accountable & Flexible: You understand that pharmaceutical manufacturing operates around the clock; you are willing to commit the necessary time and effort, including occasional long days, to meet critical project and regulatory deadlines.
  • Analytical Mindset: You possess strong critical-thinking skills and enjoy breaking down complex technical problems to find practical, compliant solutions.
