Description

Rugged’s COO leads manufacturing, supply chain, quality, customer service, and lifetime warranty functions to ensure excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Collaborates with ownership and CFO to establish and drive organizational vision, operations strategy, and translate strategy into actionable steps for growth. Operational strategy includes capacity, asset utilization, staffing, and continuous performance improvement methods and accountability. 

Oversee company operations and employee productivity, promoting a highly effective culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met. Promote effective professional development, performance management, and stability. Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

•  Supports Annual Business Plan development, including strategy, staffing, capacity, and operational Key Process Indicators (KPIs).
• Manages P&L target achievement through favorable COGS and continuous cost reduction. 
•  Analyzes internal operations and identify areas for process improvement.
• Implements business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed with ownership and  CFO.
• Builds and maintains trusting relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinates manufacturing engineering priorities to ensure product changes are properly managed, and that capacity    allocation and efficiency potential is optimized. 
•  Focuses on quality assurance through chronic issue root cause analysis, corrective, and preventative actions
•  Ensures positive climate initiatives are effective by leading company-wide communication efforts, organizing business update meetings, employee surveys, and regular employee recognition and feedback.  
•  Schedules and leads weekly leadership team meeting to share functional performance topics and agree on priorities and steps to manage barriers. 
•  Remains informed about changing business conditions and performance and puts measurements and reporting dashboards into place enabling real-time assessment of performance and future needs.
•  Communicates professionally and effectively to all levels of the organization.

Requirements

Qualifications

•  Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR regulations.
• 10+ years’ experience leading manufacturing companies, business units, or plants.
• Action-oriented and self-motivated.
• Proficient in continuous improvement and project management methodologies. 
• Experienced at creating growth strategies and leading cross-functional tactic development.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Personable and positive nature.
