Associate Director - Management Accounting

Job Purpose:

• Act as a partner and SPOC for Manufacturing Groups Finance Leads and FDs
• Lead a team of 9-12 direct reports who delivers timely and accurate reporting and analysis for Month End Close activities, as well as outside MEC processes and controls.
• Ensure that the team is in full compliance with ICFW, all finance policies and that all mandatory trainings are completed on time. Support delivering control and audit requirements and queries, i.e. internal and external audit.
• Coordinate site Product Costing and Annual Standard Setting, in cooperation with Product Costing GPO.
• Drive and support global projects for process improvements, standardization, or new process implementations.
• Drive for excellence in GSK processes and contribute widely to a high-performance culture within the team.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for financial reporting delivery across the Hub, ensuring that management accounting actuals are carried out in a robust and efficient manner and delivered in accordance with agreed deadlines. 
• To ensure full audit compliance so that all accounting policies and procedures met with internal and external statutory audit requirements.
• Day to day management and development for a core group of analysts but also responsible for resource optimization cross Hub to ensure the overall service can be delivered in line with agreed timelines, and according to standard work approach.
• To coach, motivate and develop direct reports in the cluster and to support succession
  planning and the GSK Talent Review process.
• Responsible for building strong relationships with key stakeholders for area in scope.
• Ensure expected level of service delivery, monitoring KPIs and addressing any gaps in a timely manner.
• To drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes in GSK scope.
• Work in collaboration with the multiple projects currently being undertaken within GSK.
• Support sites in the annual standards setting and ATP process where agreed.

 Must-Have Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s degree in finance or CIMA/ ACCA/ or relevant qualification
• 16 years of experience in Finance– Management Accounting in Manufacturing business
• Fluent English
• Fluency in Excel
• Experience in working with SAP environment and Power BI
• Strong analytical skills
• Proven strong leadership and communication skills
• Proven stakeholder management on different level in multinational environment
• Experience in transition of processes and building a new team
• Track record of being able to drive and manage change agenda
• Ability to think at the enterprise level and capable of thinking beyond immediate area of responsibility
• Demonstrable track record of achievement and delivery to deadlines
• Able to effectively manage time and resources against agreed deadlines for activities for both self & wider team.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively build credibility with senior management and /or key stakeholders in a multinational environment
• Works well both as a leader and team member, actively listens and is responsive to others
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of multiple systems/tools e.g. SAP, Power BI, SAC
