Responsibilities:

HSE Program Implementation & Management:
Design, develop, implement, and monitor the company’s environmental, health, and safety programs to enhance occupational health and workplace safety across all operations.
Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation:
Conduct accident/incident investigations, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions. Initiate and lead risk assessments to ensure risks are identified, continuously updated, and mitigated.
HSE Training & Orientation:
Conduct HSE orientation programs for employees and provide regular training on safety procedures, hazardous materials handling, and environmental protection.
Compliance & Certification:
Manage the organization’s ISO 14001/ISO 45001 system for external certification and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory audits.
Advice on Hazardous Materials Handling:
Provide specialized advice to employees regarding the safe handling of chemicals and hazardous substances, and assist in the preparation of operating instructions.
Auditing & Compliance Checks:
Participate in internal and external audits and compliance checks, ensuring that all facilities adhere to safety regulations and corporate standards.
Emergency Response & Crisis Management:
Support emergency response and crisis management planning, ensuring proper safety protocols are in place and regularly updated.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Drive innovative solutions for improving health, safety, and environmental processes while taking informed risks to implement new or improved solutions.
Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate and enforce HSE policies and practices, ensuring full engagement and adherence.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain records of all HSE activities, training, certifications, and incident investigations. Provide detailed reports to senior management and external auditors as required.

Qualifications:

College degree or Bachelor`s degree, ideally in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
Over 4 years of job-specific work experience in an industry-relevant role, including health and safety management, environmental protection, or occupational health.
Relevant certifications are required. The candidate must hold all legally required certifications for the HSE Officer role.
Advanced knowledge of HSE systems and standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Strong expertise in risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Workday, and SharePoint.
Fluent in English and the local language.
