AI Engineer

Opportunity for an experienced professional to design, build, and deploy machine learning systems that accelerates biotech research and development — from drug discovery and molecular modeling to clinical data analysis and lab automation.

 

Role

• Design and implement ML/AI models for applications such as molecule property prediction, protein structure analysis, genomic data interpretation, or clinical trial optimization
• Build and maintain data pipelines for processing large-scale biological and chemical datasets
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists, computational biologists, and clinicians to translate research questions into AI/ML solutions
• Deploy models into production systems (APIs, internal tools, or lab platforms)
• Evaluate and integrate relevant foundation models (e.g., protein language models, cheminformatics tools)
• Ensure reproducibility, validation, and documentation of models to meet scientific and regulatory standards
• Monitor model performance and iterate based on experimental or clinical feedback
• Stay current with advances in AI applied to life sciences (e.g., AlphaFold-style models, generative chemistry)

 

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience building and deploying ML models in production
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• Experience with biological/chemical data formats (FASTA, SMILES, PDB, etc.) is a strong plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and MLOps tools
• Understanding of statistics, experimental design, and scientific rigor
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with scientists
