How you will contribute to our magical experience?:
The Production Director will lead and oversee all local original productions for Star+, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within approved resources and budgets, and in compliance with company guidelines and standards. This role serves as a key Production partner across internal teams, ensuring effective coordination and delivery of production-related information and materials throughout the production lifecycle.
The Director will be responsible for:
- Lead and oversee projects throughout production, including production planning, schedules, budgets, and overall resource management.
- Oversee budget execution and production plans throughout filming, ensuring appropriate management of resources, timelines, and contractual deliverables through post-production.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Production team, ensuring priorities, responsibilities, and deliverables are aligned with business and content needs.
- Oversee the delivery of production-related materials to internal teams, including metadata, licensed materials, cast lists, and other required assets.
- Partner closely with Marketing and Social Engagement teams to support campaign execution for original series, ensuring alignment on production schedules, production company and talent coordination, and related budgets.
- Oversee and support series launches, including coordination of promotional assets, talent management, and additional production requirements.
- Partner with Legal to oversee contract requests and ensure production-related contractual needs are appropriately addressed.
- Ensure appropriate oversight of vendor payments across the Production department, supporting timely and accurate payment processes and compliance with internal procedures.
What we need from you to be part of this story:
- Proven experience leading and overseeing original content productions, ideally within the entertainment, media, or streaming industry.
- Strong experience managing production schedules, budgets, resources, and contractual deliverables throughout the production lifecycle.
- Experience leading Production teams and managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering with teams such as Content Strategy, Marketing, Creative Services, Digital, Social Engagement, PR, and Legal.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, deliverables, and multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, production partners, vendors, and talent.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple productions and competing priorities.
- Strong understanding of production processes, including pre-production, filming, post-production, and content delivery.
- Experience working with external production companies, vendors, and talent, including coordination of contractual and production-related requirements.
- Advanced level of English.
- Passion for storytelling, entertainment, and creating high-quality original content.
