Your New Role
- Build and optimize distributed Spark workloads.
- Build and optimize DBT models, tests, macros, and documentation for transformation layers.
- Develop high-performance PostgreSQL data models and queries.
- Implement data ingestion pipelines using Lambda, Airflow and PySpark.
- Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices/APIs.
- Ensure data reliability through AWS-native monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and EventBridge.
- Implement orchestration and workflow automation using Airflow.
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable AWS data solutions.
- Apply data security best practices (IAM roles, KMS encryption, VPC networking).
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
What will you Bring
- 1+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
- Expert-level Python programming (OOP, async, packaging, testing).
- Hands-on experience building and managing DBT models, tests, documentation, and CI/CD integration.
- Strong hands-on PySpark experience.
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL (query tuning, indexing).
- Proven experience with AWS data services, S3, Lambda and IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, EC2
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and large-scale data architecture.
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, or ADF/AWS-native schedulers).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices for data pipelines (Harness, Jenkins).
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and serverless-based solutions.
