We are seeking a high-performing Senior Customer Manager – Packaging & Specialty Plastics, located in São Paulo (Brazil).


About you and this role:

You will lead strategic customer relationships and drive profitable growth for Functional Polymers - Infrastructure, Consumer & Transportation (ICT) business across Brazil and Latin America. ICT is a specialty business within Packaging & Specialty Plastics. This role requires deep technical and commercial expertise in specialty polymers, application development, and value-based selling, combined with the ability to translate differentiated technologies into compelling customer value. The successful candidate will lead the execution of growth strategies for Automotive and Consumer markets while driving the development and commercialization of new applications, market segments, and business opportunities across Latin America, will lead Latin America ICT Distribution Strategy, leverage strong commercial acumen, strategic account leadership, and proven experience navigating complex stakeholder networks to drive customer growth, strengthen strategic partnerships, and deliver sustainable business results.


Reporting to the Sales Director for Latin America, the Senior Customer Manager serves as the primary commercial leader for a specialty portfolio of strategic customers, partnering closely with customers and cross-functional stakeholders, including Global Key Account Managers, Technical Service & Development, Product Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Sustainability, and Customer Service, to develop differentiated solutions, align business priorities, and deliver profitable growth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Performance & Execution: Own and deliver the annual sales plan and monthly forecasts, driving profitable growth through disciplined price-volume management, forecasting accuracy, and proactive identification of customer, market, and industry trends.
  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute customer growth strategies for strategic local and global accounts. Manage complex customer relationships, commercial negotiations, price adjustments, and long-term agreements in close coordination with Global Key Account Managers and regional stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Regional Influence: Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, Sustainability, and Technical Service & Development teams to align business priorities, support S&OP and key operating forums, advance regional commercial initiatives, and translate strategy into measurable business outcomes while maintaining strong CRM and commercial discipline.
  • Lead Latin America ICT Distribution Strategy: Develop and execute the Latin America distribution strategy to expand market reach, strengthen distributor performance, increase channel effectiveness, and accelerate sustainable growth across the region.
  • LAA Sales Development Lead: Lead the execution of growth strategies for Automotive and Consumer markets while driving the development and commercialization of new applications, market segments, and business opportunities across Latin America. Partner with commercial teams across the region to accelerate market penetration and deliver Latin America growth objectives.
  • Innovation and sustainability: Champion the commercialization of innovative and sustainable solutions through close collaboration with Technical Service & Development, Product Management, and Sustainability teams, translating customer needs into differentiated value propositions and growth opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in Sales, Marketing, Product Management or related commercial roles. Experience in specialty materials, chemicals, polymers, automotive, adhesives or related industries is preferred.
  • Commercial capabilities: Proven experience in B2B sales, strategic account management, complex negotiations, business development, forecasting and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across cultures, functions and organizational levels.
  • Mobility: Travel availability.
