Job Description Summary

The Medical Information Manager will provide timely, accurate and balanced first point of contact medical/scientific and technical information for telephoned medical questions and issues in real time; document medical inquiries; create positive customer interactions; capture potential adverse events; and provide disease state and product training to internal groups. Will also serve as a medical reviewer in the Medical, Legal, Regulatory review process for promotional and non-promotional materials.

Position Location:


This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ US Headquarters site.

Our Sandoz flexible hybrid working approach allows US office-based employees to work up to 50% of their monthly workday remotely. This role will not have the ability to be located remotely.


Must be authorized to work in the U.S.  U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future.

Major accountabilities / Your Key Responsibilities:



Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:


  • Lead and deliver timely and high-quality support for all Medical Information projects with ownership and accountabilities, including:
  • Coordinate information flow from internal and external sources to facilitate the dissemination of accurate, timely, consistent, and balanced information to internal personnel and external customers
  • Research and respond with written and oral inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Proactively develop medical response documents, create unique responses, and revise/update existing documents in database
  • Search, evaluate, and summarize the published medical and scientific literature.
  • As part of the Materials Approval Process team provide high-quality review of promotional materials for assigned products and attend live meetings as required; 1) ensure materials are scientifically accurate, current, and properly substantiated and referenced; 2) ensure material is scientifically rigorous and presented with appropriate context; and 3) ensure material is scientifically understandable for intended customer audience
  • Work independently yet ensure strategic alignment of information with key internal stakeholders and experts, as necessary
  • Identify emerging medical trends, marketplace issues (e.g., Medical Inquiry Trends, Business Intelligence) and quality assurance issues and share with appropriate personnel
  • Participate in the creation of, and ensure adherence to, departmental and corporate policies and quality standards
  • Support other MI Managers and AD in the development and review of other materials as needed; AMCP dossiers, Medical Intelligence, website, etc.
  • Support mentoring PharmD fellow and summer intern, when requested.

Required Qualifications:

 

Education & Experience (Required):

 

  • PharmD degree required  

Preferred Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a medical information setting
  • Post-graduate specialty training (Fellowship)
  • Customer-oriented approach and ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics, and laboratory diagnostic tests
  • Knowledge of drug information processes and adverse event reporting regulations a must
  • Computer literacy is required
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize emerging scientific data and put into strategic context
  • Ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, and collaborate
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in presenting scientific data both verbal and written
  • Experience having effective interactions with appropriate levels of the organization and with an external audience
  • Learning agility
  • Knowledge of scientific and clinical research techniques
  • Knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to prioritize, stay organized and meet deadlines under pressure or time constraints and to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to collaborate across different functional areas to ensure alignment with governance processes and to meet business objectives

  • Computer Skills: Capable with Microsoft suite of programs including Word and Outlook, and extensive experience in managing and utilizing web-based software.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $119,700 - 222,300 USD/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/26 through 12/31/26, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period.  Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. 


On September 30, 2021, Sandoz entered into a 5-year Corporate Integrity Agreement.
