Accounting Assistant

Senspex, Inc. is seeking to hire an Accounting Assistant for our Accounting Department located in Rio Rancho, NM!

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for delivering general support and day-to-day assistance to the Accounting Department. You will help manage routine accounting workflows and keep our operations running seamlessly.

What you'll get to do as an Accounting Assistant at Senspex:

• Process payroll, accounts payable, and credit card receipts
• Prepare, control, balance, and check various accounts using standard bookkeeping methods
• Enter daily financial transactions
• Assist with preparing statistical, financial, accounting, and auditing reports
• Assist in managing company inventory, assets, and property; includes physical inventory counts
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing reports and duties
• Follow-up and resolve transactional purchasing issues in delivery, service, or quality of goods
• Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence
• Support staff with special projects as needed and all other tasks as assigned

The qualifications we require:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficient understanding of standard accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

Other requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work within the United States
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug test
• Must possess acceptable forms of identification under the REAL ID Act
• May require obtaining a U.S. DoD security clearance. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance in order to work on projects/programs.
