Our oil and gas client in Calgary is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant to assist their team with handling daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely data entry using company accounting software.
- Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets, including managing multi-sheet linkages for data uploads.
- Assist with joint venture accounting activities, ensuring proper allocation and documentation.
- Support data validation and reconciliation between spreadsheets and accounting systems.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Provide general office and administrative support as needed (filing, correspondence, document preparation, etc.).
Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with accounting software
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and linked worksheets.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
