About the opportunity
At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Food Service Assistant, you’ll create cherished moments each day by supporting our Chef Manager to create delicious food and assist to serve in our on-site Cafe.
What you’ll bring
You’re reliable, resilient and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are genuinely interested in supporting others and making a difference in your community.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
Knowledge of food safety standards
Experience in food preparation in a busy kitchen, prior experience in aged care desired but not essential
Ability to work unsupervised and part of a team
Experience in a cafe or previous barista experience would also be an advantage.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance OR current police check and willing to obtain NDIS clearance.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
