Maintenance A

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) currently has an opening for a self-motivated full-time Maintenance person to join our team in Sergeant Bluff, IA! This person will be responsible for determining and completing appropriate repairs in an efficient manner with the least effect on production.  This position will work in the Soy plant.
 
Responsibilities:
•    Monitor, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for entire facility
•    Perform welding, torch and plasma cutting to complete various repairs
•    Complete daily paperwork including equipment inspection and work orders
•    Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate
•    Maintain plant sanitation standards
•    Provide on-call support for plant operations
•    Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• 2+ years of experience in a mechanically related field or equivalent

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and equipment specifications

• Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader

• Skilled in using hand tools including screwdriver, hammer, drill and pliers

• Skilled in operation of shop equipment including lathe, press and band saw

• Proficiency in AC/DC electrical principles and the safe operation of diagnostic tools

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers

• Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
