As a Sales Team Leader – Account Management you will be based out of a customer location in the Salt Lake City, UT area and you will be responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, leading account management activities, and driving commercial growth across assigned accounts. You will collaborate with customers, technical teams, and commercial stakeholders to identify opportunities, deliver innovative solutions, and ensure exceptional service execution while leading and developing a high-performing team.

As a Sales Team Leader – Account Management you will be based out of a customer location in the Salt Lake City, UT area and you will leverage your leadership, commercial, and relationship management expertise to maximize customer satisfaction, drive revenue growth, and strengthen market position. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers while ensuring operational excellence and alignment with business objectives.
As a Sales Team Leader – Account Management, you will be responsible for:
Applying a solid understanding of industrial chemical treatment technologies and sales processes to support customer operations, identify opportunities, and deliver value-driven solutions.
Providing technical troubleshooting support and demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose operational challenges and recommend effective corrective actions.
Utilizing laboratory data, analytical methods, and test results to evaluate system performance, interpret findings, and support customer recommendations and process improvements.
Managing account financial performance, including revenue tracking, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and achievement of commercial objectives.
Overseeing customer inventory management activities, ensuring product availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient supply chain support to meet operational requirements.
Able to present complex technical content to various levels of the organization, internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner
Building long-term strategic relationships with customers by understanding their business objectives and identifying opportunities to deliver value-added solutions.
Managing key customer accounts and serving as the primary point of contact for commercial and operational activities.
Identifying, coordinating, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver technical sales solutions, projects, and customer-focused initiatives.
Leading customer business reviews, account planning sessions, and technical presentations for customers, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
Managing the day-to-day operations of assigned customer accounts to ensure service quality, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
Supporting the development and execution of account growth strategies to expand business opportunities and strengthen customer partnerships.
Monitoring account performance, identifying trends, and implementing actions to improve commercial results and customer outcomes.
Ensuring compliance with Sales and Service Standards across customer accounts and commercial activities.
Collaborating with technical, operational, and commercial teams to resolve customer issues and deliver effective solutions.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and commercial performance.
Developing strong working relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Directly leading, coaching, and developing a team of employees to achieve business objectives and foster a high-performance culture.
Supporting field sampling, water testing, application maintenance, and performance reporting to ensure the effective operation and optimization of customer treatment programs.
Supporting the implementation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of hydrocarbon process and industrial water treatment systems, including wastewater, boiler, and cooling tower applications.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Have a minimum of 2 years of experience (preferred) in account management, sales, business development, or a related commercial role.
Have a minimum of 2 years of experience (preferred) in hydrocarbon process treatment or water treatment for waste water, boilers, and cooling towers
Have demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Have experience leading teams and driving performance in a customer-focused environment.
Have strong business acumen and the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop customer strategies.
Have excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
Have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Have proven organizational and project management abilities with the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective customer-focused solutions.
Have a customer-centric mindset with a commitment to operational excellence and service delivery.

This role may require schedule flexibility to support customer requirements, business priorities, travel, and commercial activities.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM 100% onsite in Salt Lake City, UT.
