Ireland Business within Growth Markets have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our team. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner and responsible for the financial management of the Ireland business.

This is a hybrid role and will require to work from London/Epsom office 3 days/week.

Your role

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts in accordance with company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate policies, internal controls, and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the year-end audit process, statutory accounts preparation, VAT submissions, and liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment, ensuring compliance with governance requirements and best practice financial management.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-term strategic plans, providing robust challenge and insight to support business objectives.
• Provide detailed financial and commercial analysis of business performance against budget, forecast, and key performance indicators, identifying risks, opportunities, and improvement actions.
• Develop meaningful financial reporting and dashboards to support informed decision-making across the business.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting quality, efficiency, financial controls, and business performance.
• Lead monthly project financial reviews, challenging project teams on forecast revenue, costs, margins, cash flow, risks, and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 15 revenue recognition requirements and company policies across all projects and contracts.
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams to maximise project profitability, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce financial risk.
• Support bid reviews, pricing submissions, contract negotiations, and commercial proposals through robust financial analysis and challenge.
• Lead the financial management and governance of Joint Ventures (JVs) and Joint Operations (JOs), ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, shareholder agreements, reporting requirements, and governance frameworks.
• Provide financial oversight and support for JV governance meetings and stakeholder reporting.
• Act as a trusted business partner to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, providing financial leadership, commercial insight, and strategic support.
• Collaborate with operational, commercial, tax, treasury, company secretarial, and other support functions to deliver business objectives.
• Identify and proactively manage financial risks, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies and controls.
• Support investment decisions, strategic initiatives, and business growth opportunities through financial evaluation and recommendations.
  

About you

• A qualified accountant with several years post qualification experience (ACA,ACCA,CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong academic record.
• Experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders.
• ERP Oracle experience is desirable.

• Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills and exposure to Power BI.

• Demonstrable growth mindset, strong record of collaboration.
• Curious about business and its drivers.
• Resilient and agile.
• The role will require travel to Republic of Ireland.
