Description
At Ayvens, progress starts with you.
Our ambitions to shape the future of sustainable mobility are powered by our talent. Join us, and get better with every move.
At Ayvens, we have an opening for an experienced Head of Asset Risk
What are you going to do?
As our new Head of Asset Risk, you will lead Ayvens' second line of defence (LOD2) for vehicle asset risks, ensuring robust oversight of residual value and repair, maintenance and tyres (RMT) risk management across the Group. Residual value risk represents Ayvens' largest risk exposure, making this position critical in maintaining a strong risk governance framework and ensuring risks remain within the Group's risk appetite.
You will lead a team of 14 professionals and work closely with local and central stakeholders, senior management, Board committees, and regulators. In this highly visible role, you will shape asset risk policies and standards, challenge business assumptions, oversee key risk models and processes, and provide strategic guidance on evolving market trends affecting vehicle values and fleet performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and maintaining an appropriate governance, monitoring, and reporting framework to ensure effective oversight of asset risk across Ayvens.
- Defining Group-wide policies, norms, and standards for asset risk management.
- Ensuring local entities perform residual value and RMT setting in line with Group Regulations and established standards.
- Reviewing, challenging, and validating residual value proposals submitted by local pricing committees before implementation.
- Reviewing, challenging, and controlling RMT technical cost setting across the organization.
- Leading and contributing to the fleet revaluation process, including ownership of the fleet revaluation model.
- Analysing residual value trends and market developments to monitor risk and challenge central and local assumptions on new and used vehicle prices.
- Acting as Vehicle Asset Risk model family owner and owner of the Ayvens central Asset Risk database.
- Leading Asset Risk contributions to ICAAP and Risk Identification processes.
- Collaborating closely with local and central first line of defence teams.
- Contributing to the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) process for both Ayvens and Société Générale.
- Producing and presenting asset risk reporting and insights to Ayvens Executive Management, Société Générale CORISQ, the Ayvens Board Risk Committee, and regulatory authorities, including the European Central Bank.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate is an experienced risk leader with deep expertise in asset risk management, residual value risk, and governance frameworks within the automotive leasing, financial services, or banking sectors. You possess strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across an international environment.
You will have relevant experience in a similar role and preferably hold a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Additionally, you bring:
- Extensive experience in asset risk, residual value risk, automotive finance, leasing, or financial services.
- Proven people leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing international teams.
- Strong knowledge of risk governance frameworks, ICAAP processes, and regulatory expectations.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with experience working with risk models and large datasets.
- The ability to challenge business decisions constructively and provide independent risk oversight.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior executives, board-level committees, and regulators.
- A solid understanding of automotive market dynamics, vehicle valuation methodologies, and residual value trends.
- Fluent English is required.
