About the opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Performance Manager to join us on a permanent fixed term contract basis. This is a pivotal role within the Healthy Ageing portfolio of Mercy Health, partnering with senior leaders to shape strategy, drive organisational performance and deliver transformational initiatives that create meaningful outcomes for our residents, clients and teams. Reporting to the General Manager, Strategy & Business Improvement, you will lead the development, governance and successful execution of the Healthy Ageing Business Performance Program, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into measurable results.
This highly visible role offers the opportunity to influence executive decision-making, oversee cross-functional programs of work and drive continuous improvement across key commercial, customer experience and operational performance metrics. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to identify opportunities, manage dependencies, monitor benefits realisation and ensure initiatives deliver sustainable value for the business.

In this role you will:
Partner with senior leaders to define, communicate and deliver strategic priorities that support the ongoing success of the Healthy Ageing business.
Lead the planning, governance and delivery of a broad portfolio of business performance and transformation initiatives.
Develop executive and board-level reports, business cases and strategic recommendations that support informed decision-making.
Establish program frameworks, performance measures and reporting mechanisms to track progress and business outcomes of key initiatives
Coordinate multiple interdependent projects, managing risks, priorities, resources and stakeholder expectations to achieve successful outcomes.
Facilitate collaboration across operational, clinical, finance, technology and support teams to drive organisation-wide alignment.
Use data, analytics and business insights to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency and growth.
Lead change management activities, ensuring initiatives are successfully embedded and adopted across the business.
Drive benefits realisation planning, measurement and reporting to ensure strategic initiatives deliver intended outcomes and value.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, acting as a trusted advisor and influencing positive change across the organisation
What you’ll bring:
To thrive in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience leading strategic programs, business transformation initiatives and complex cross-functional projects within a large or similarly complex organisation, ideally in the aged care / health care sector.
Strong project management and senior business analysis capabilities, with a proven ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
Experience developing business cases, executive reports, performance frameworks and benefits realisation plans.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and partnerships at executive and board level.
Strong commercial and analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide practical, evidence-based recommendations.
Proven experience leading and supporting organisational change, driving adoption and delivering sustainable business improvements.
Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the Australian Aged Care sector and understanding of recent regulatory reforms are highly desirable.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
Driver’s License and willingness to travel to regional sites as required
A current Police Record Check
