Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Reception Desk in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communications. You will help maintain an organized entry point, respond to alarms and inquiries, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communication systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Assist with directing patients and visitors, answering routine inquiries, and supporting a welcoming, professional environment while helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
