Main purpose of the role:
- Advise on a range of margin loan and equities financing matters.
- Review, draft and negotiate industry-standard loan documentation, including APLMA documentation.
- Advise on derivatives transactions, including total return swaps and collar financing.
- Provide legal advice on applicable regulatory requirements, including insider trading issues and the Model Code for directors of listed issuers.
- Work closely with relevant internal stakeholders in supporting transactional and regulatory matters.
Person specification:
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE.
- Experience gained within a financial institution.
- Strong experience in margin loans, equities financing and/or related derivatives transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work effectively with business and legal stakeholders in a fast-paced financial services environment.
