Description
The Director of Marketing leads Ally Medical's marketing function, setting the strategic direction for brand, demand generation, and community presence across all facilities. This role combines hands-on leadership of the marketing team with deep expertise in paid digital advertising and media, grassroots and community-based marketing, and data-driven strategic planning. The Director of Marketing will manage day-to-day operations of the department — including budgeting, vendor management, reporting, and other administrative functions — while supervising and mentoring staff and partnering with facility and executive leadership to grow patient volume and brand awareness at all Ally Medical facilities.
Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and develop the marketing teams, execute on strategic goals and provide regular performance feedback.
- Build department structure, workflows, and accountability standards that scale with company growth across multiple facilities and markets.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, initiative, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Human Resources on hiring, onboarding, and performance management for marketing team members.
- Represent the marketing department in leadership, operations, and executive meetings, communicating priorities, results, and resource needs.
Strategic Planning:
- Partner with executives on developing and executing the company's overall marketing strategy in alignment with business goals, new facility openings, and growth targets.
- Evaluate market opportunities, competitive positioning, and facility performance to guide resource allocation and investment decisions.
- Set annual and quarterly marketing goals, KPIs, and budgets, and report progress to executive leadership and the board.
- Stay current on healthcare marketing trends, regulatory considerations, and competitor activity to keep Ally Medical's strategy ahead of the market.
Marketing Analytics & Reporting:
- Analyze marketing data across digital, grassroots, and traditional channels to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Develop, maintain, and present regular monthly marketing reports for stakeholders.
- Oversee competitive analysis and market research, including competitive landscape charts, geographic mapping, and lead list development for new and existing facilities.
- Partner with the external development team to improve reporting automation, referral source tracking, and CRM/portal functionality.
Paid Digital Advertising & Media:
- Collaborate with the executive team and third party partners to develop the strategy for paid digital advertising across search, social, display, and programmatic channels.
- Manage media buying and vendor/agency relationships, negotiating placements, pricing, and performance expectations.
- Set and manage digital advertising budgets, optimizing spend based on campaign performance and cost-per-acquisition targets.
- Oversee boosted social media posts, geo-targeted digital campaigns, and other paid media tied to zip-code-level market research.
- Monitor and report on paid media performance, using data to continuously refine targeting, creative, and channel mix.
Grassroots Marketing & Community Outreach:
- Collaborate with, mentor, and work closely with the Marketing Outreach Manager to develop grassroots marketing initiatives — local events, sponsorships, partnerships, and community programs — that build brand presence facility by facility.
- Manage and mentor the Marketing Outreach Manager, helping set strategic goals and priorities for the grassroots community outreach team.
- Manage the Marketing Outreach Manager's oversight of Safety Training programs (including CPR instruction) and other community education initiatives as brand-building and outreach tools.
- Identify and evaluate new grassroots and community marketing opportunities as Ally Medical enters new markets.
Brand & Inventory Management:
- Oversee brand standards and ensure consistency across all marketing materials, facilities, and vendors.
- Direct inventory management of marketing materials, including procurement, distribution, and vendor coordination.
- Review and approve new marketing materials and collateral for brand alignment, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Manage the marketing department's budget, invoicing, and vendor contracts, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Maintain departmental documentation, including onboarding guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures, in alignment with company and HR policies.
- Track departmental KPIs, project timelines, and deliverables, ensuring consistent and timely execution across teams and facilities.
- Prepare executive summaries, presentations, and other administrative materials needed to support leadership decision-making.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven leadership ability, with experience managing, coaching, and developing a team.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to connect marketing activity to business outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in paid digital advertising and media buying across search, social, and display channels.
- Experience designing and executing grassroots and community-based marketing programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to executive leadership and the board.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including comfort working with marketing data, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, including demonstrated success in paid digital advertising/media and grassroots marketing.
- 2+ years of experience directly managing and developing a team, preferably in a multi-site or healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Suite, G-Suite, and marketing/CRM platforms (e.g., Zoho CRM).
- Healthcare, multi-site, or franchise marketing experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Some travel required between facilities across Austin, DFW, and Houston markets.

- You are responsible for protecting the credentials provided to you to access Company (and customer, where applicable) networks, systems, and data.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all Ally and customer data to which you are granted access. Any suspected compromises of Ally proprietary data or customer data must be reported to Management immediately.
- You will adhere to the Company’s Information Security Policy and Procedures and support standard operating procedures to protect Company systems and data.
- You will alert management immediately with any expected system or data compromises and/or system failure impacting the security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity of Ally Medical and customer data.
- You will be required to attend an annual Information Security Awareness Training.
