Description
A leading organisation is seeking a Financial Controller to join their dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is eager to play a key role in financial reporting, compliance and team leadership across multiple entities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full financial and accounting function across multiple entities.
- Manage daily financial processing, reporting and statutory accounting requirements.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial reports and group reporting submissions.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate and manage statutory audits while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance and reporting processes.
- Oversee cash flow, investments and capital management activities.
- Manage tax compliance, including VAT, income tax and provisional tax submissions.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business performance.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team while fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support ad hoc finance projects.
Requirements:
- CA(SA) qualification is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years' post-articles experience within the financial services industry, preferably in wealth management or linked investment service provider (LISP) environments.
- Proven experience managing the full accounting function and statutory reporting.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance and financial controls.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior finance professionals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a collaborative approach.
