Financial Controller

A leading organisation is seeking a Financial Controller to join their dynamic finance team. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full financial and accounting function across multiple entities.
• Manage daily financial processing, reporting and statutory accounting requirements.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial reports and group reporting submissions.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate and manage statutory audits while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance and reporting processes.
• Oversee cash flow, investments and capital management activities.
• Manage tax compliance, including VAT, income tax and provisional tax submissions.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business performance.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team while fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support ad hoc finance projects.

Requirements:

• CA(SA) qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 5 years' post-articles experience within the financial services industry, preferably in wealth management or linked investment service provider (LISP) environments.
• Proven experience managing the full accounting function and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance and financial controls.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior finance professionals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• High attention to detail with the ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a collaborative approach.
