Join Lendlease Global Commercial REIT as a Financial Controller!
We are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join us as a Financial Controller. This fantastic and rare opportunity will be in charge of the full spectrum of finance function – including accounting, tax, treasury and risk management.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record and experience in a similar role in a REIT. A self starter with good communication skills, you will lead a team of finance professionals and work with regional functions and external consultants for the accounting and financial reporting of Lendlease REIT. The role will be developed as a potential successor to the CFO.
Responsibilities :
Accounting and reporting
- Supervise the finance team in day-to-day finance operations and monthly closing of accounts for the Lendlease REIT group of entities and variance analysis.
- Ensure accounting and reporting are in accordance with accounting standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the reporting of quarterly and annual financial results for the board and announcements on SGX.
- Responsible for annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for Lendlease REIT.
- Work with the Lendlease Group on internal management reporting as required.
- Arrange and oversee internal audit of Lendlease REIT and the REIT Manager.
- Work closely with external auditor for the statutory audit of Lendlease REIT and ad-hoc matters as required.
- Maintain appropriate internal control policies and procedures and oversee enterprise risk management.
- Liaise with external trustee to obtain necessary approvals for finance and treasury related matters.
Tax and Treasury
- Work with tax consultants to oversee tax computations and ensure timely filing of tax returns (including income tax and GST).
- Manage cash flow needs for operations and treasury funding.
- Manage interest exposure and hedging.
- Oversee preparation and reporting to lenders as required under loan agreements.
- Work closely with regional Treasury function in the refinancing of loans and perpetual securities.
Others
- Support the CFO in accounting and finance related matters for corporate activities, including acquisitions, divestments and equity raising.
- Arrange and oversee ad-hoc advise for tax and accounting, as required.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required to support the CFO and/or CEO from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting / Finance.
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- REIT experience will be highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements (including SGX, MAS and REIT regulations).
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- Good knowledge of tax regulations (including GST and corporate tax).
